Al Sawadi Beach is one of the most beautiful coastal destinations in Oman's South Al-Batinah Governorate, located near Barka along the country's pristine coastline.

This twin beach stretches for several kilometers and is covered with colorful shells, making it ideal for snorkeling, diving, and kite boarding. The beach overlooks a group of islands near its shore, and visitors can reach the main island by renting licensed boats for maritime trips. A tall observation tower over 50 meters above the sea offers panoramic views of Al Sawadi Beach and surrounding smaller islands, while paragliding opportunities allow visitors to soar above the shore under licensed supervision.

Many Omani families from Muscat visit Al Sawadi at weekends, setting up canopies among tamarisk trees and barbecuing, creating a lively party atmosphere with quieter stretches available 500 meters north or south of the car park for shallow swimming. The beach has toilets and men-only showers but no other facilities, and visitors should wear modest swimwear as skimpy attire is culturally inappropriate in Oman.
