Arad Fort is a historic 15th-century Islamic fort located on Muharraq Island in Bahrain, near the Bahrain International Airport. Built in the traditional style of Islamic forts, it features a square layout with cylindrical towers on each corner and was originally surrounded by a water-filled moat.

The fort was strategically positioned to guard the sea passages to Muharraq and served as a defensive fortress during periods of Portuguese occupation in the 16th century and later Omani control in the 1800s. It has witnessed various battles and historical events, reflecting Bahrain’s rich military and political history.

The fort underwent extensive restoration in the 1980s using original materials like coral stone and palm trunks to preserve its authentic architectural value. Today, Arad Fort is a popular historical site offering visitors scenic views of the coastline, cultural events, and a glimpse into Bahrain's past.
