Baudin Beach
Australia, Australia
Baudin Beach is a small coastal locality on the north coast of Kangaroo Island, South Australia, situated on the Dudley Peninsula about 12 kilometres west of Penneshaw.
It lies along the shores of Eastern Cove in Backstairs Passage, with calm waters and a gently sloping beach that are popular for swimming, fishing, and boating, and it is known for good catches of King George whiting nearby.
The area is a quiet, mostly residential beachside community with a mix of holiday homes and undeveloped lots, supported by a boat ramp, a clifftop walking path, a viewing platform, and a small copper sculpture honouring the early settler Mary Beckwith, giving it a relaxed, low‑key seaside‑resort feel without major commercial facilities.
