Beynes is a town in the Yvelines department of the Île-de-France region, located about 25 kilometers west of Versailles in the Mauldre Valley.

With around 7,600 residents, it offers a balance of suburban convenience, green spaces, and a strong historical character. The town is best known for the ruins of the Château de Beynes, a medieval fortress whose origins date back to the 11th century. Over the centuries, the castle was expanded and fortified before eventually falling into ruin; today it is protected as a historic monument and remains a major local landmark.
