The Buninyong Botanic Gardens are a beautifully preserved 19th-century provincial botanical garden located in the historic township of Buninyong, 13 kilometers south of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia, established in 1861 and listed on Heritage Victoria's Register for their historical and environmental significance.

The four-hectare garden is divided into two distinct sections: an upper arboretum nestled around a small lake called the Gong, which features an impressive collection of pines, conifers, and maples including four specimen maple trees registered on the National Trust of Australia's Register of Significant Trees, and lower gardens containing a diverse collection of cool-climate tree species.

Among Victoria's best-preserved provincial botanic gardens, the site offers scenic walking tracks along both sides of Cornish Street, a picturesque lake with a shaded ornamental pond, excellent picnic facilities, a children's playground, and has long served as an important social and celebrative space for the Buninyong community.
