Cape Saint Francis is a picturesque coastal village in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province, situated on a headland between Port Elizabeth and Knysna, renowned for its pristine white sandy beaches and as one of the world's best surfing locations.

The village is famous for its world-class surf break called Bruce's Beauties (or Liquid Lines), which gained international fame after being featured in the iconic 1966 surf documentary "The Endless Summer" and the 2014 film "The Perfect Wave," with year-round swells from large low-pressure systems forming between Antarctica and southern Africa. The beach curves between Seal Point and Shark Point headlands, backed by the dunes and forests of Seal Bay Local Authority Nature Reserve, offering warm rolling Indian Ocean waves perfect for swimming, surfing, and windsurfing.

The village is home to the historic Seal Point Lighthouse, an iconic landmark, and the Irma Booysen Floral Reserve, which protects many species of flowers and plants including endangered dune forests and fynbos. Visitors can spot dolphins year-round and witness humpback and southern right whales from June to November, Johnson's Pool at the southern end of the beach provides a sheltered tidal pool ideal for safe children's swimming, and the area offers four pristine nature reserves within walking distance where you can spot bushbuck, monkeys, and otters while hiking.

This eco-conscious village with just a few hundred year-round residents takes pride in preserving its magnificent natural environment, featuring a Blow Hole Hike, Sanccob Eastern Cape penguin rehabilitation center, and a 1-hour walk through Cape St Francis Nature Reserve that connects the village with nearby St. Francis Bay. The nearest international airport is in Port Elizabeth, about 120 kilometers away, and the village is a popular backpacker and surfer destination along with nearby Jeffreys Bay.
