The Castle in Nowy Wiśnicz, Poland, is a magnificent 14th-century bastion fortress built by Jan Kmita on a forested hill overlooking the town, evolving from a Gothic stronghold into a Baroque-Renaissance masterpiece under Piotr Kmita and later Stanisław Lubomirski.

Featuring a quadrilateral layout with four corner towers, internal courtyard, illusionistic chapel frescoes, and a triumphal gate modeled after Rome's Arch of Titus, it endured Swedish Deluge plundering, 19th-century fires, and served as a noble prison before becoming a museum showcasing medieval armory, torture devices, and aristocratic splendor.
