The Castle of Binderveld (Kasteel van Binderveld, also called the Waterkasteel van Binderveld) is a small, baroque‑style water castle in the village of Binderveld, part of the municipality of Nieuwerkerken in Flemish Limburg, Belgium, originally founded in the 12th century as the seat of a Lordship of the County of Loon.

The estate was first mentioned in 1135 when Olderic van Bilrevelt received the fief, and over the centuries it was held by prominent families such as the Van Montenaken, Van Hamal, Van Grevenbroek and Van Copis, and repeatedly damaged by wars, fires and plundering in the 17th century, leading to several major rebuildings, including a full reconstruction by Hieronymus de Copis between 1635 and 1653 and again after a complete fire in 1728, with Joseph Le Roy‑Coloma building the current form in 1729.

Today only the gate tower (with a turret from 1661) and the main residence survive, set on a property completely surrounded by a wide moat that was restored around 2015 to recreate its original “water castle” character, while the former chapel was replaced by the 1842 Sint‑Jan Baptistkerk and the old drawbridge was replaced in 1865 by a fixed stone bridge, and in modern times the castle was used as a farm and later as a private residence that was carefully renovated and, in 2024, offered for sale as a restored historic property with its own vineyard and gardens.
