The Castle of Blier, located in the scenic hamlet of Blier within Érezée, Belgium, in the heart of the Ardennes, traces its origins to around 1500 when the de Blier family constructed its oldest section, originally a farm, complete with their coat of arms still visible above the entrance today.

Around 1870, Auguste Seny built the Petit Château de Blier, followed by the grander Grand Château between 1890 and 1905 under Charles Wilmart, a local administrator and mayor, blending medieval and Renaissance architectural styles amid stunning valley views of the Aisne River.

Throughout the 20th century, it served various roles—from a World War II U.S. troop headquarters (possibly hosting General Patton) to a children's holiday home—before the Van Dessel family acquired it in 1997, transforming it into a luxurious rental venue for groups of 20 to 60, ideal for vacations, weddings, or events in its peaceful natural setting.
