The Castle of Vourlia is a historic hilltop fortress located near Antikyra in Boeotia, central Greece.

Also known as “Kasteli tou Moria,” it occupies a strategic position overlooking the Gulf of Antikyra and the surrounding coastline, reflecting its past defensive and observation role in the region. Today, the site survives mainly as archaeological remains, offering insight into the area’s military history and its importance in controlling local land and sea routes.

Its elevated location provides wide views of the surrounding landscape, making it both a historical landmark and a scenic viewpoint. Although less well known than many of Greece’s major castles, Vourlia Castle remains a valuable cultural monument, preserving traces of the region’s fortified past and its long history of settlement and defense.
