The Château de Bois‑Seigneur‑Isaac is an elegant 18th‑century stately home in Ophain‑Bois‑Seigneur‑Isaac, part of the commune of Braine‑l’Alleud in Walloon Brabant, Belgium, originally built as a feudal fortress in the 12th century to protect a Hainaut enclave within the Duchy of Brabant. 

In 1737 the medieval stronghold was transformed into a classic French‑style pleasure castle with a tri‑angular pediment, wide arched windows, and a formal layout, while retaining a solitary round tower with arrow slits and remnants of old moat earthworks as visible reminders of its medieval origins.

The château and its grounds are listed as “exceptional heritage of Wallonia” and have belonged for five generations to the Snoy family, notably Jean‑Charles Snoy et d’Oppuers, a co‑signatory of the Treaty of Rome; since 1993 the property is managed by “Les amis du château de Bois‑Seigneur‑Isaac,” which organises guided tours, open days, heritage visits, and event rentals for weddings, receptions, and corporate gatherings.

Behind the house, visitors can stroll through a charming French garden with structured perspectives that opens onto a larger English‑style park dotted with several centuries‑old remarkable trees, making the site notable both for its historical narrative and its carefully preserved landscape.
