Château de Florzé in Sprimont, Belgium, dates back to beyond the 13th century and was part of the lordship of Sprimont.
It was initially occupied by the de Presseux family and later passed to the de la Marck and d’Arenberg families in the late 15th century. The castle was partially destroyed in 1794 during the battle of Sprimont and was restored in 1825 by Count Clément de Berlaymont.
It has seen notable visitors including the Queen of Spain in the 19th century and even General Eisenhower during World War II. The château remains in the hands of descendants through matrilineal inheritance and features beautifully restored outbuildings, elegant reception halls, and is surrounded by wooded grounds, blending historical charm with modern use as a prestigious event venue.
