Château de Hodoumont in Ohey, Belgium, dates back to at least 1343 when it was part of the seigneurie of Goesnes, a fief under the Principality of Liège.

The site originally included a donjon surrounded by moats, with a full castle developing around the early 17th century. It changed ownership several times, passed through the Jamotines family until 1553, then to Jehan de Ceels, who built the adjoining fortified farm in 1612. In 1766, Baron Charles-Joseph-Victor Dauvin inherited the property and later his son redesigned the château and landscaped the grounds, creating an English-style park.

The estate remained with the Dauvin family until 1883 before passing to the German Carlowitz family and later to Edmond Ysebrant de Difque, whose family still owns it. The château is surrounded by a tree-filled park and retains much of its historic charm, reflecting centuries of noble heritage and architectural evolution in Wallonia.
