Château de Seneffe is an elegant 18th-century neoclassical country house in the municipality of Seneffe in Hainaut, Wallonia, Belgium, built between 1763 and 1768 by architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez for the wealthy merchant and banker Julien Depestre, who was later honored as Count of Seneffe and Turnhout.

The château was designed as a pleasure residence for the aristocratic leisure culture of the Austrian Netherlands period, with a symmetrical façade, high ceilings, and richly decorated interiors that reflect the refined taste of wealthy Walloon bourgeoisie rising into noble status.

Today the building houses the Musée de l’Orfèvrerie de la Communauté française de Belgique, the Museum of Silversmith Art, which presents one of Belgium’s finest collections of silverware and decorative arts, displayed in historically styled rooms that include a grand salon with a marble bathtub sculpture and other ornate spaces.

The château and its park are open to the public for guided visits and are also used for a wide range of events, from traditional exhibitions to contemporary and avant-garde artistic projects, making it a lively meeting place for different artistic expressions while preserving its historical identity as an 18th-century noble residence.
