Verified Chateau de Vignee

Rochefort, Belgium, Belgium

Château de Vignée is a 17th-century manor and former hunting lodge in the Belgian Ardennes, near Villers-sur-Lesse in the commune of Rochefort, province of Namur.

Built in red brick and stone, it has a red-brick castle appearance with small turrets that give it a storybook, almost fairy-tale silhouette against the Ardennes landscape. For nearly 400 years the estate was a meeting place for hunters, and it has been transformed in recent decades into a luxury boutique hotel and spa that preserves its historic character while offering contemporary interiors, wellness facilities, and fine dining.

The hotel features around 24 bespoke rooms and suites, an indoor swimming pool, a spa with hammam, sauna, and massage treatments overlooking the nearby river Lesse, and two restaurants including ARDEN, where chef Marius Bosmans prepares seasonal cuisine using vegetables grown in the château’s own greenhouse.

It functions as a 5-star hotel and event venue, set in a natural setting suitable for hiking, cycling, fishing, and other Ardennes activities, while nearby castles such as Château de Lavaux-Sainte-Anne and Château Royal d’Ardenne lie within easy reach.
