Château des Ducs de Joyeuse is a historic Renaissance castle located in the town of Couiza in the Aude department of southern France, in the heart of the Cathar Country region.

Built in the mid-16th century for the powerful Joyeuse family, the château is known for its imposing stone architecture, round corner towers, and elegant central courtyard. Over the centuries, the castle witnessed periods of conflict, including the French Wars of Religion, and later served various purposes before being restored and preserved as an important historic monument.

It has been officially protected as a historic monument since 1913. Today, the château operates as a hotel, allowing visitors to experience its rich history while exploring the nearby vineyards, hills, and famous Cathar sites of the region. It remains one of the most distinctive historical landmarks in the upper Aude Valley.
