The Château Féodal de La Roche-en-Ardenne is the imposing ruin of a medieval castle built between the 11th and 13th centuries, perched on a rocky spur of the Deister hill above the town and the loop of the Ourthe river in La Roche-en-Ardenne, Belgian Ardennes.

It was originally the seat of the lords and later counts of La Roche, beginning with Henri I, son of the house of Namur, and took the form of a quadrilateral bailey with corner towers, dominating a key bend in the river where many goods were transported. 

In the 17th century, during the occupation by the troops of Louis XIV, the castle was reinforced as a military base by the engineer Candau, a disciple of Vauban, with doubled walls, artillery terraces, a reservoir, casemates and a powder store, after which it fell into ruin and, under the Austrian regime and later, was used as a quarry for the town’s inhabitants until the Belgian state bought it in 1852 and initiated preservation work.

Today the site is open to visitors year‑round, allowing walks through the surviving walls, towers and outbuildings, and offering seasonal medieval‑themed animations such as archery, torch‑lit visits, guided tours and promotional events, while the ruins provide a dramatic viewpoint over the town and the Ourthe valley.
