Chateau Jemeppe, also known as Chateau d'Hargimont, in Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium, originated in the early 13th century as a fortified house built by Jean d'Ochain.

It was designed for both defense and residence, featuring a tall square donjon surrounded by moats. Over the centuries, especially in the 17th and 18th centuries, the castle was expanded with new wings, modernized with more windows, and restored multiple times. In the 19th century, the de Sauvage-Vercour family carried out extensive renovations including adding pitched roofs and decorative elements like medieval-style weathervanes.

Today, the castle is beautifully restored, offering a blend of medieval architecture and later enhancements, set in the scenic Ardennes region. It serves as a historic symbol of regional noble heritage and is used for various public and private events, combining a fairy-tale atmosphere with modern amenities.
