Coedmore Castle in Durban, South Africa, is a historic stone homestead built in 1885 by Dering Stainbank with the help of Scottish stone masons using local stones from the Umhlauzana River. Nestled within the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve, the castle features a tower, battlements, and beautifully preserved interiors with period furniture, family portraits, and antique silverware. The castle is surrounded by giant yellowwood trees and tranquil natural beauty.

It holds historical significance as a sanctuary during the 1949 African-Indian riots when over 2,000 members of the Indian community found refuge there. The castle also connects to the legacy of Mary Stainbank, a pioneering South African sculptor whose works are displayed nearby. Coedmore Castle has been donated to the state for preservation and was managed by the Stainbank family until recent years.

It offers tours and has been used for weddings and cultural events, embodying both heritage and nature conservation.
