Durban Beach, commonly known as the Golden Mile, is South Africa's very own seaside paradise and one of Africa's most crowded beaches, stretching along 600 kilometers of subtropical coastline in Durban, South Africa's third-largest city on the Indian Ocean.

The beach features warm, mild waters perfect for swimming year-round, with lifeguards on duty most of the day, protective shark nets, and beacons indicating safe swimming areas. The Golden Mile includes several main beaches: South Beach, the southernmost area popular with beginner surfers who can learn at the surf school; North Beach, famous for stunning all-year-round sunrises and robust surf conditions ideal for surfing, bodyboarding, and paddle skiing; and Dairy Beach, a renowned surfing spot.
