Éguilly is a small village in the Côte-d’Or department of Burgundy, eastern France, known for its rural setting and historic heritage.

It lies near the Burgundy Canal and is surrounded by the rolling landscapes of the Auxois region. The village is best known for the Château d’Éguilly, a fortified castle whose origins date back to the 12th century. Built on the site of an earlier Gallo-Roman stronghold, the castle evolved from a medieval fortress into a residence and still features towers, moats, a Renaissance well, and other historic structures.

After extensive restoration, the château has become a cultural site that hosts art exhibitions and events while remaining an important historic monument. Today, Éguilly attracts visitors interested in Burgundy’s history, architecture, and countryside scenery.
