Épernon is a historic town in the Eure-et-Loir department of north-central France, in the Centre-Val de Loire region.

Located about 65 km southwest of Paris, it sits at the meeting point of the Drouette, Guesle, and Guéville rivers and is home to around 5,700 residents. Known as a “Petite Cité de Caractère,” Épernon features a charming old center with medieval streets, half-timbered houses, historic press buildings, and the Church of Saint-Pierre.

The town has a rich heritage linked to stone quarries, whose stone was used in major construction projects, including works associated with Versailles and Paris. Today, Épernon combines historical character with modern amenities and a strong local economy.
