Fourquevaux is a small rural commune in the Haute-Garonne department of the Occitanie region in southwestern France.

Located about 20 kilometers southeast of Toulouse in the historic Lauragais area, it has a population of around 850 residents and offers a quiet village atmosphere within reach of the larger city. The village is surrounded by rolling agricultural landscapes that are characteristic of the Lauragais region, often known as the historic “Pays de Cocagne” because of its past prosperity from agriculture and the cultivation of woad used for blue dye.

Fourquevaux is particularly known for the Château de Fourquevaux, a historic castle dating mainly from the 15th and 16th centuries. The château and its 18th-century orangery are protected as French historical monuments and represent the commune’s most important architectural heritage. Overall, Fourquevaux is a peaceful countryside community that combines rural charm, local history, and easy access to the Toulouse metropolitan area.
