Geraki Castle is a medieval fortress located on Palaiokastro Hill near the village of Geraki in Laconia, southern Greece.

Built during Frankish rule in the 13th century, it was established to control the surrounding plains and became the center of the Barony of Geraki within the Principality of Achaea. The castle later passed to the Byzantines and subsequently came under Venetian and Ottoman control, reflecting the region’s complex medieval history.

Its fortifications include walls, towers, gates, cisterns, and the remains of a once-thriving fortified settlement. One of the site's most notable features is its collection of Byzantine churches, some containing well-preserved frescoes dating from the 12th to the 15th centuries. These churches showcase a blend of Byzantine and Frankish influences and are among the castle’s most important cultural treasures.

Today, Geraki Castle is admired for its atmospheric ruins, rich historical heritage, and panoramic views of the Laconian landscape, making it one of the Peloponnese’s lesser-known but highly rewarding historic sites.
