Verified Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve and Nursery

Glenbrook, New South Wales, Australia, Australia

Glenbrook Native Plant Reserve and Nursery is a small 2-hectare botanical garden and arboretum in Glenbrook, New South Wales, about 60 kilometers from Sydney, that features Australian native plants, particularly species indigenous to the Blue Mountains.

The reserve is maintained by volunteers from the Australian Plants Society, Blue Mountains Group, who contribute over 2,000 hours of volunteer work annually to preserve this valuable remnant of Lower Blue Mountains flora. The site includes a small nursery specializing in Blue Mountains indigenous plants and other Australian species, a landscaped garden, a local flora reserve with walking trails, and an education centre, all representing a wide range of local species.

The nursery is staffed by group volunteers, and funds raised from plant sales are donated back to the volunteer body managing the Reserve. The reserve and nursery are open from noon to 4 pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with free entry, and are located on the Great Western Highway opposite the Blue Mountains Visitor Information Centre next to Glenbrook Oval.
