Haus Bergscheid is a historic residential building in the village of Raeren in eastern Belgium, close to the German border near Eupen and Aachen, and it is one of the notable heritage sites of the area.

The property already existed in the 16th century as a manor known as “Bergscheider Hof,” and the present house largely reflects its later appearance, combining original elements with modifications from subsequent centuries.

Unlike Raeren’s famous water castle (Burg Raeren), Haus Bergscheid is a more modest, privately owned historic house rather than a fortified castle, and today it is famous especially for its striking construction entirely in blue stone (blauwe hardsteen), which gives it a distinctive, elegant appearance in the local townscape.

The site is closely associated with the neighboring cultural venue “Bergscheider Hof,” which operates as a community and event hall with a restaurant and billiard/kegeln facilities, while the historic house itself remains in private ownership and is not a public museum.
