The Iron Market, or Marché en Fer, in central Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is a bustling commercial landmark known for its vibrant chaos and vast array of goods from fresh produce and spices to handicrafts, clothing, and voodoo items sold by hundreds of vendors.

Originally prefabricated in Paris in 1891 as a railway station for Cairo but repurposed by Haitian President Florvil Hyppolite, its distinctive iron-framed halls with towering minarets, clock tower, and red-green exterior span over 50,000 square feet and have endured fires in 2008 and 2018 as well as near-total destruction in the 2010 earthquake.

Rebuilt in 2011 through international efforts including funding from Digicel and design by John McAslan + Partners using salvaged materials, earthquake-resistant standards, and solar power, it symbolizes Haitian resilience and remains a vital economic hub drawing locals and cautious tourists despite surrounding urban challenges.​
