Popular for surfing with consistent 1-1.5 meter waves, left-hand breaks at the northern end, and family swimming in the sheltered southern section, it features a surf lifesaving club founded in 1982, shaded picnic areas, playgrounds, a dog off-leash zone at the south end, and patrolled safety during peak times.
Accessible by road with parking, toilets, and nearby cafes, it hosts surfing competitions from February to November and offers scenic coastal walks amid the Illawarra region's natural beauty.
