Kasteel de Fauconval is a large 19th‑century country house, often called a “castle”, located at Daaleindestraat 2 in Kortessem, a municipality near Hasselt in Belgian Limburg, set in a quiet park close to the village centre.

It was built in 1860 on the orders of the couple Rubens‑du Vivier to replace an older building that stood nearby, and after passing through inheritance it came into the possession of the family de Bernard de Fauconval, whose name the estate now bears.

The building is a neoclassical, double‑house style country house of five window bays and three storeys under a mansard roof, with a central risaliet crowned by a triangular pediment, a round window in the pediment, and a hexagonal bay window on the rear façade, giving it a balanced, elegant appearance.

Around the end of the 19th century the house was modified, and in 1965 it was acquired by the municipality of Kortessem, which gradually transformed it into a public building rather than a private residence.
