Kasteel Hulstlo
Beernem, Belgium, Belgium
Kasteel Hulstlo is a 19th‑century neogothic country castle in the village of Sint‑Joris, part of the municipality of Beernem in West Flanders, Belgium, located at Sint‑Jorisstraat 82.
It was built in 1846–1847 (according to the land registry around 1852) for the Bruges banker Felix Dujardin, in a sober but strongly symmetrical neo‑Gothic style, with a main façade of five bays and two storeys plus an entresol, and was accompanied by the laying out of a park at the same time or shortly afterwards.
The castle stands in a wooded setting that was originally part of a larger estate, and the Sint‑Jorisstraat itself was in part laid out through the former castle grounds, giving the area a distinctly park‑like character; the building and its park are recorded as heritage objects.
