Kasteel Ronsevaal is an elegant 19th‑century country house in Erembodegem, a district of Aalst in East Flanders, that stands on the Brussels Highway (Brusselbaan/Brusselse Steenweg) and is often described as a “castle‑like château” rather than a medieval fortification.

It was built in the early 1890s (c. 1892–1895) in an eclectic style, mainly neo‑Renaissance, for the local noble and political figure Baron Adile‑Jacques Mulle de Terschueren, who had close ties to Tielt but commissioned the building on the Aalst side of the region.

The main building has a symmetrical brick‑and‑stone facade, an intricate plan with multiple wings and a tower element, and interiors that combine neo‑Gothic and neo‑classical details, while the surrounding service complex includes a coachhouse and stables (1880–1892), orangerie, kennels, an orchard and a vegetable garden, and a separate cottage‑style villa called Les Trembles built in 1930 and later extended. 

The estate is famous for its 20‑hectare park laid out in late‑19th‑century landscape style, sloping down to the Dender river and adjoining the Gerstjens nature area, and for containing several champion and unusual trees such as large Metasequoia and tupelo specimens and a mammoth‑leaf Gunnera, making it both a residential landmark and a horticultural and natural asset.
