Kidd's Beach is a small, picturesque coastal village and resort town in South Africa's Eastern Cape province, located on the rocky shore of the Indian Ocean about 28–30 kilometers from East London.

It was named after Charles Kidd, a seaman and former mayor of nearby King William's Town who settled there in the 1860s. The beach features an unbroken 8-kilometer stretch of white sand and calm waters, offering a peaceful, uncommercialized escape ideal for long beach walks, swimming, sunbathing, shell collecting, and relaxing in a tranquil environment.

It's popular with surfers and children, especially the tidal pool and nearby Leonard's Bay and Igoda breaks, where bottlenose or common dolphins occasionally join the waves. The area is rich in natural beauty, with hills covered in indigenous flora, spectacular birdlife, and occasional sightings of bushbuck, duikers, and Cape clawless otters along the Mkhanzi River lagoon, which also supports safe canoeing and kayaking.

Seasonal visitors include Southern Right Whales, and anglers can enjoy rock, surf, and river fishing at nearby river mouths. The village maintains a friendly, close-knit community atmosphere with basic amenities like a bistro, post office, and grocery store, making it a perfect destination for secure, stress-free family holidays and a great stopover between the Transkei and the Garden Route.
