Koror Island, located in Koror State, is the main commercial, tourism, and population center of Palau.

 Although the national capital moved to Ngerulmud in 2006, Koror remains the country’s economic and cultural hub, home to many government offices, businesses, hotels, restaurants, and visitor facilities. The island is surrounded by beautiful tropical waters and serves as the gateway to Palau’s famous Rock Islands, which are known for their dramatic limestone formations, coral reefs, and rich marine life.

Koror is also home to important cultural attractions, museums, harbors, and traditional communities that reflect the nation’s history and heritage.
