Kosava Palace
Belarus, Belarus
Kosava Palace, also known as the Pusłowski Palace or Kosava Castle, is a large 19th‑century neo‑Gothic manor‑turned‑palace in the town of Kosava in the Brest Region of Belarus.
Built between 1838 and the 1840s for Count Wandalin Pusłowski and designed with a crenelated, castle‑like silhouette, it has 132 rooms and 12 towers, each said to symbolize a month of the year, with special sunlight effects inside on certain days.
The palace was badly damaged during the two world wars, lay in near‑ruin through the Soviet period, and then underwent a long, costly restoration begun in 2008, reopening partially to visitors with a small museum and plans for a hotel, restaurant, and wedding‑venue complex in the surrounding park.
Today it is one of Belarus’s most striking historical‑architectural monuments, often visited for its romantic, castle‑style exterior and rich, layered history.
