La Mothe-Chandeniers is a famous historic château located in Les Trois-Moutiers, in the Vienne department of western France.

Originally built in the 13th century, it was rebuilt and expanded over the centuries, becoming a romantic castle surrounded by water and parkland. The château is best known for its picturesque ruins. A major fire in 1932 destroyed much of the building, and nature gradually grew over the remains, creating a striking scene where trees and vegetation intertwine with the castle walls.

In 2017, an international crowdfunding campaign helped save the château, with thousands of people from around the world contributing to its purchase and preservation. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction admired for its unique blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty.
