Lac de Grangent in the Loire department of France is an artificial lake created by the construction of the Grangent Dam between 1955 and 1957. Situated at an elevation of about 420 meters, the lake covers approximately 3.65 square kilometers and stretches over 21 kilometers along the Loire River, forming a scenic reservoir that transformed the landscape of the Loire gorges.

The dam's construction led to the flooding of parts of the valley, including old railway lines, houses, and bridges, creating new natural habitats and altering the local ecosystem with calmer waters favoring species like roach and carp instead of the previous fast-water fish.

The lake supports various recreational activities and tourism, offering stunning panoramic views and access to nearby historical sites like the ruined Château de Grangent, which now sits on an island within the lake. The dam also provides hydroelectric power, producing energy sufficient for about 50,000 inhabitants, while helping regulate river flow and supporting sustainable tourism in the region.
