Million Dollar Point is a unique underwater site on Espiritu Santo Island in Vanuatu, located just off the coast near the town of Luganville.

It gets its name from the massive amount of World War II equipment and supplies the U.S. military dumped here at the end of the war—things like tractors, trucks, cranes, jeeps, and crates of goods—rather than let rival powers buy or claim them cheaply.

Today the seabed is a jumbled artificial reef of rusting vehicles and machinery, now covered in coral and teeming with fish, making it one of the world’s most famous and unusual wreck‑diving spots. Snorkelers and divers can swim among half‑buried wheels, axles, and metal structures starting just a short swim from the beach, while the site also serves as a vivid, slightly surreal memorial to wartime surplus and geopolitical rivalry in the South Pacific.
