Miradouro de Alfândega da Fé
Alfândega da Fé, Portugal, Portugal
Miradouro de Alfândega da Fé is a scenic viewpoint at the site of the ruined Castle of Alfândega da Fé, perched on São Miguel hill overlooking the Trás-os-Montes valley in Alfândega da Fé municipality, Bragança district, northern Portugal.
The castle originated from a 7th-century Moorish defensive structure destroyed over time, then rebuilt by King Dinis around 1320 atop Cabeço de São Miguel after his 1294 charter, with remnants forming a rectangular layout including a semi-circular tower keep amid 20th-century observation platforms.
Today, the open area offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding plains and Serra de Bornes, integrated into the town's historic core near the Clock Tower.
