Modave Castle in Modave, Belgium, is a historic château originally built in the 13th century on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Hoyoux river valley.

It was transformed in the 17th century by the Count of Marchin into an elegant Baroque country house, featuring a classical façade with two distinctive towers and mansard roofs. The castle is renowned for its well-preserved interiors, including elaborate 17th-century stucco ceilings by Jan-Christian Hansche, ornate wood paneling, Brussels tapestries, and large period paintings, spread across more than twenty richly decorated rooms.

Set within a 450-hectare nature reserve, the castle offers impressive views from its restored terrace and is owned by a water management company that preserves its heritage. Visitors can explore the castle with an audio guide and enjoy its formal French gardens, which were redesigned in the 19th century and are freely accessible during opening hours.
