Nissi Beach
Cyprus, Cyprus
Nissi Beach is a famous Blue Flag beach in Cyprus, located about 3–4 km west of the resort town of Ayia Napa on the island’s southeast coast.
It is known for its long stretch of fine, almost white sand and calm, turquoise waters that are sheltered inside a small bay, making it popular for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports such as jet‑skiing and windsurfing. The beach takes its name from a small rocky islet, called Nissi (meaning “island” in Greek), which sits just offshore and is often reachable by a narrow sandbar at low tide.
By day the area has a lively party atmosphere with beach bars, music, foam parties, and restaurants, while at sunset it becomes more relaxed, drawing both younger tourists and families who enjoy the scenic cove and easy access from Ayia Napa.
