Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park is a vast protected area of over 4,000 square kilometers in northern Republic of Congo, established in 1993. It is a pristine tropical rainforest considered one of the best examples of intact forest ecosystems in the Congo Basin, featuring no roads or logging inside its borders.
The park is home to rich biodiversity, including western lowland gorillas, forest elephants, chimpanzees, bongos, leopards, and over 300 bird species. It forms part of the larger Sangha River Tri-National Protected Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and operates under a public-private partnership to effectively conserve wildlife and habitat with local community cooperation.
The park offers unique opportunities for wildlife observation, research, and conservation in a largely untouched natural environment.
