Palm Beach is a coastal suburb at the northern tip of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, set on a long, narrow peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and the sheltered waters of Pittwater.

It is known for long, golden sands, clear water, and the iconic Barrenjoey Lighthouse at its northern end, which offers sweeping views over the ocean, beaches, and surrounding bushland. The suburb has an upscale, relaxed feel, popular with Sydney locals and visitors for swimming, surfing, paddle‑boarding, and bushwalks, and it also features as the filming location for the long‑running TV soap Home and Away.

There are cafes, casual eateries, and small shops along the main strip, and the area is especially busy in summer when people come for beach days, weekend getaways, and coastal walks from the lighthouse down to the surf beach.
