Verified Parc D'Ottomont

Dison, Belgium, Belgium

Parc d’Ottomont is a public municipal park in the village of Andrimont, part of the town of Dison in the Liège province of Wallonia, Belgium, situated on the grounds and gardens surrounding the historic Château d’Ottomont.

The park was originally an English‑style garden laid out in the late 19th century around the “Mont‑Clotilde” château, built in 1896 by industrialist Maurice Duesberg‑Delrez as a villa with a distinctive seaside‑style architecture, wooden gallery on the upper floor and a park overlooking the valley, and later became municipal property after the former owner family sold it and the commune of Andrimont used it as its administration until the 1977 merger with Dison.

Today it is a relatively compact green space described as about 4.2 acres (around 1.7 hectares) that is mainly used for walking, relaxation and local events, with tree‑lined paths, open lawns and a pavilion, and it serves as a regular venue for cultural and family activities such as the annual “Fête de la Musique” with concerts, gastronomy stands, children’s areas and street performances, as well as the “Beautiful Village” summer apéro festival and the “Lire dans les Parcs” summer reading programme organised by the local libraries.
