Poças do Governador, also called Complexo Balnear da Ponta Gorda, is a popular urban bathing area in Funchal, Madeira, located on the city's western coast between the Lido and Praia Formosa along the seaside promenade.

It features three saltwater pools—a natural volcanic rock pool, a pool for adults, and a children's pool with playful equipment—plus direct access to the Atlantic Ocean via stairs from the rocky coastline. The complex offers amenities including a playground, first-aid post, changing rooms, bathrooms, restaurants, shops, and sandy areas for sports, making it a family-friendly spot that attracts around 1,300 bathers per day during summer.

It has held the prestigious Blue Flag award since 2001 for water quality and safety, and has been classified as an "Accessible Beach" since 2010 with a hydraulic chair for visitors with reduced mobility. While there is a paid entrance fee for the pools, the area is also known as a natural treasure with crystal-clear waters framed by dramatic volcanic rocks, though the steep, rocky cliff access to the lower natural pools requires proper shoes and caution.
