Praia da Barreirinha is a small, rocky bathing area in the historic centre of Funchal, Madeira, located just below the old town near Largo do Socorro and the Fort of São Tiago.

Instead of a wide sandy beach it consists of platforms and steps built into the cliff, leading down to the sea and a few pebbly entry points, which makes it feel more like a calm, urban swimming spot than a classic beach.
