Praia da Ilha do Farol (Mar) is a beautiful, tranquil beach with approximately 3 kilometers of fine white sand located on Ilha da Culatra in the municipality of Faro, Algarve, and it is part of the protected Ria Formosa Natural Park.

The beach's name comes from the iconic Farol do Cabo de Santa Maria lighthouse standing there—a 50-meter-tall tower built in 1851 that visitors can climb (over 200 steps) on Wednesdays outside of pandemic restrictions. Accessible only by a 30-minute ferry ride from Faro's Cais da Porta Nova or from Olhão's river port, the island offers a peaceful, preserved atmosphere perfect for escaping the daily rush and connecting with nature, with abundant marine life including fish, mollusks, and crustaceans in the clear waters and channels.

The beach features calm, clear, gentle seawater with summer temperatures of 21–22°C, holds Blue Flag status for quality and safety, and has lifeguards during bathing season, plus beach bars, restaurants, a first aid post, sunbed and umbrella rentals, and water sports support services [web138].
