Praia da Légua is a natural, low‑key beach on Portugal’s Central Atlantic coast, located in the parish of Pataias, municipality of Alcobaça, in the Leiria district not far from the town of Nazaré. 

It lies along the Costa de Prata (Silver Coast), set between higher dunes and forested slopes, with a long stretch of fine golden sand that curves softly along the open Atlantic Ocean. The beach is known for its relatively quiet, unspoiled atmosphere, good water quality, and suitability for swimming and surfing, with basic facilities and limited amenities that keep the feel more rustic and nature‑oriented than commercial.

Access is by road from the nearby N242 and secondary coastal roads, and the area is appreciated by visitors looking for a peaceful, scenic beach day close to the more dramatic surf‑famous shores of Nazaré but with a gentler, less crowded edge.
