Praia das Bicas
Portugal, Portugal
Praia das Bicas is a small, wild beach in the town of Sesimbra, in the Setúbal District of Portugal, lying along the Atlantic coast south of the more famous Meco Beach and just above the Campimeco campsite.
It is backed by tall ochre cliffs and a strip of pine forest, and reached by a steep wooden staircase that leads down to a cove with golden sand and strong Atlantic waves, making it popular with surfers and bodyboarders rather than calm‑water swimmers.
The northern end of the beach area, known as Rio da Prata, functions as an unofficial nude beach, with no facilities, no lifeguards, and a very secluded, natural feel that attracts naturists and visitors looking for a quiet, rugged coastal spot away from big resorts.
