Praia das Salamitras is a small, scenic beach in the Albufeira‑Olhos d’Água area of the Algarve, located on the North Atlantic coast just east of the better‑known Praia da Falésia and the Vale de Milho valley.

It lies in a rocky cove with a mix of golden sand and gravel, framed by low cliffs and coastal vegetation, and is known for its clear water, calm spots in the coves, and a more secluded, off‑the‑beaten‑path atmosphere even though it is still close to the main resort belt. The beach is Blue Flag‑certified, with lifeguards in summer, toilets, showers, sunbed and umbrella rentals, a small beach restaurant, a short promenade, and parking nearby, as well as a small naturist cove at the western end.

Access is relatively easy by car and a short walk down from the road, making it a popular choice for visitors who want a quieter, family‑friendly alternative to the busier central Albufeira beaches while still having good facilities and lovely views.
