It has a deep stretch of soft golden sand framed by tall cliffs and large dunes, with a small holiday‑village cluster of cottages and restaurants just behind the beach, giving it a relaxed, semi‑rural feel rather than a classic resort vibe. The beach is Blue Flag certified, with lifeguards in season, toilets, showers, parking, and a couple of bars and restaurants, plus wooden ramps and stairs that make access easier for people with reduced mobility.

Known for its strong surf and consistent waves, it is popular with surfers and bodyboarders, but it also offers calm tidal pools and rock platforms at the southern end at low tide, where visitors can explore marine life and enjoy a quieter, more natural seaside experience.
